Dorian Baker, a Cal Poly graduate, was a first and second-grade teacher at Virginia Peterson Elementary School in Paso Robles for 25 years.  A believer in school choice, she retired from the district to help open Almond Acres Charter Academy in San Miguel, where she taught second grade for three years until her final teaching retirement in 2017. Dorian is a 40-year resident of North County, where she and her husband built their home and raised their four children. She enjoys being an active member of her community and serving as a trustee.  Her greatest joys come from her family relationships as a daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.
